What Are General Nursing and Midwifery?

The GNM is a paramedical course of diploma where the students learn about community health nursing, child health nursing, health care management, midwifery, primary health nursing, and Community Health Care. A midwifery professional is called a midwife. How to Get a Government Job After GNM?

Basic GNM, Post Basic GNM, and Distance GNM are the types of GNM nursing courses. The students having an intermediate qualification with a science background can apply for the B.Sc nursing course i.e Basic GNM. The graduation course duration is for three and a half years. The candidates can also plan for the vocational diploma course of Multi Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) along with the 10+2 education for two years which is Distance GNM. The post-basic GNM course duration lasts for 2 years. After the course completion, the students should undergo the training program in clinics and public health institutions to get the certificate that might be helpful for the employment process.
