What is Physiotherapy?

The contender should have two years of experience in Physiotherapy and two years of experience in Planning the Implementation of research projects in Rehabilitation from an institute recognized by the Central/ State Government or an autonomous body under the Central / State Government or a University recognized by the University Grant Commission or an Institute recognized by the Regulatory Council.

The duties of the lecturer are to evaluate and plan programs for disabled persons, clinically supervise the junior staff and students, and impart psychomotor skills to Under Graduate and Post Graduate students. Clinical schedules preparation, assistance to department head and management, undertaking Rehabilitation Physiotherapy activities, etc.

How to be a Physiotherapist?

A student who aims to be a physiotherapist should choose a science group in Intermediate with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. After competing for 10+2 the student can go for a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or can go with a physiotherapy diploma course. For pursuing both courses, the aspirant should get qualify for the entrance examination. The graduation course duration is four years with six months of internship and the diploma is for three years. The course study includes exercise therapy, clinical training, allied therapies, physiotherapy orientation, sociology, etc are included along with the Physiotherapy subjects.
