Experience Requirements Professor : Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the
subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or qualification
recognized equivalent thereto

Additional Professor : Experience:
Ten years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or qualification
recognized equivalent thereto.

Associate Professor : Six years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject
of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or a qualification
recognized equivalent thereto

Assistant
Professor: Experience: For candidates with 2- or 5-year course for the qualifying degree,
one year teaching experience after obtaining the qualifying degree is required. The
experience must be obtained in a department recognized by the NMC for award of
the qualifying degree or an experience recognized by the NMC as being equivalent
thereto. No additional experience is required for those with a 3- or 6-year course for
the qualifying degree
