IBPS RRB Officer Exam Eligibility Criteria: The Institute of Banking Personal Selection is conducting the Common Written Examination for Regional Rural Banks. The candidates should possess the required eligibility criteria to apply for the posts of Officers Scale I,II and III cadres. Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB Officers Exam:
The candidates should be either of the following to apply for the vacancies.
1. A citizen of India or
2. A subject of Nepal or
3. A subject of Bhutan
4. A Tibetan Refugee came to India before January 1st , 1962 or
5. A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Srilanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Vietnam and Ethopia , provided that a candidate belongs to categories of 2,3,4, and 5 in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Government of India.
2. Age Limit:
The candidates should possess the following age limit as on 1st July 2015.
Officer Scale III: Lower Age limit- 21 years; Upper Age limit- 40 years The candidates should have born between 3rd July 1975 to 30th June 1994 including both the dates are eligible.
Officer Scale II : Lower Age limit- 21 years ; Upper Age limit- 32 years
The candidates should have born between 3rd July 1983 to 30th June 1994 including both dates are eligible.
Officer Scale I : Lower Age limit- 21 years ; Upper Age limit- 30 years
The candidates should have born between 3rd July 1985 to 30th June 1997 including both dates are eligible.
3. Relaxation of Age limit:
The candidates belonging to the reserved categories can have age relaxation as below.
For SC /ST category candidates- 5 years
For OBC category – 3 years
For PWD category – 10 years
For Ex Service man – 5 years
For Persons ordinarily domiciled in Kashmir Division of J & K State during 1st Jan 1980 to 31st December 1989 – 5 Years
For Persons affected in 1884 Riots – 5 years
For Widows, Divorced Women and Women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried- 9 years for the post of Office Assistants
4. Education Criteria:
Officer Scale I :
The candidates applying for the post of officer Scale I should possess Degree in any discipline from recognized university and must possess proficiency in local language and computer knowledge will be given preference.
Officer Scale II :
The candidates should possess Graduation in any discipline from recognized university or its equivalent with at least 50 % as aggregate. They should also possess two years of experience as Officer in Bank or Financial Institution.
Officer Scale III:
The candidates should possess Degree in any discipline from recognized university with at least 55 % of aggregate and with minimum experience of 5 years as officer in Bank / Financial Institution are eligible.
5. Language Criteria:
The persons applying for the posts of Officer and Office Assistants in any RRB should possess proficiency in Local Language of State in which RRB is situated.
