AFCAT Exam 2015 Eligibility Criteria: AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test conducted by the Indian Air Force. It is a common admission test for the recruitment of candidates for the Commissioned Officers cadre in Various branches such as Flying , Technical and Ground Duty in IAF. The candidates those who are interested to apply for the vacancies should fulfill the minimum education and age limit as per norms of government.

AFCAT Exam Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality : All the persons of Indian Nationals can apply.

Age Limit:
The candidates should possess the following age limit to apply for the posts in IAF.
· For Flying Branch:
Lower age – 20 years
Upper age – 24 years

The candidates born between 2nd July 1992 to 1st July 1996 both the dates are included are eligible for lying Branch.
Age relaxation is applicable for reserved candidates upto upper age limit of 26 years for flying branch
· For Technical Branch :
Lower age – 20 years
Upper age – 26 years

The candidates born between 2nd July 1990 to 1st July 1996 both the dates are included are eligible for Technical Branch.

· For Ground Duty Branch :
Lower age – 20 years
Upper age – 26 years
The candidates born between 2nd July 1990 to 1st July 1996 both the dates are included are eligible for Ground Duty Branch. 

Educational Qualifications:
For Flying Branch : The candidates should possess Graduation with minimum of three year course from any recognized university with minimum of 60 % aggregate and must have pass Maths and Physics at Intermediate Level. 
For Technical Branch :
It includes Aeronautical Engineer Electronics L and M levels.
The candidates should possess four year graduate degree or cleared Section A & B exams of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers or Aeronautical Society of India. 
For Ground Duty Branch :
It includes, Administration & Logistics , Accounts, Education departments.
The candidates should possess Graduation with minimum of 60 % aggregate or Degree in Commerce or Post graduation Degree or Diploma in any discipline or CA or ICWA with 50 % aggregate from recognized university. 
Physical Standards:
The candidates those who are interested to write the AFCAT exam should possess the following standards.

Height Requirements:
For Flying Branch : 162.5 cms with Correlated weight
For Technical Branch : men – 157.5 Cms ; Women – 152 Cms with Correlated weight
For Ground Duty Branch : Men – 157.5 Cms; Women – 152 Cms with Correlated weight

Leg Length Requirements:
For Flying Branch : Min – 99 Cms; Max- 120 Cms

Thigh Length Requirements:
For Flying branch : max – 64 Cms

Sitting Weight Requirements:
For Flying Branch : Min – 81.5 Cms; Max- 96 Cms

Vision Requirements:
For Flying branch : Minimum Visual Acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other , Correlated to 6/6 for Hypermetropia.
The candidates have to go through the above requirements before going to apply for AFCAT exam.
